MLA Europe's COVID-19 statement

Meat and Livestock Australia, as with many companies around the globe, is taking action to support global efforts to contain and mitigate the spread of COVID-19, as detailed in MLA’s recent coronavirus statement.

Our priority remains to safeguard the health and wellbeing of our people, their families, our stakeholders, visitors and contractors, in Europe and internationally, during this unprecedented crisis.

We have implemented preventative measures and taken additional steps to prepare and adapt to a changing work environment.

We express our deepest solidarity for those affected by the pandemic, which has taken a strong toll on Europe’s citizens, businesses and economies.

MLA Europe supports the European Union’s coordinated response to the COVID-19 outbreak, and its measures to reinforce public health sectors and mitigate the socio-economic impact.

Maintaining trade is an important part of the international response to coronavirus, ensuring food security in uncertain times. Australia is committed to working with the EU to ensure global supply chains stay open and function effectively.

We will continue to monitor the status of COVID-19 as the situation evolves, and update our response accordingly.
