Australia is home to around 700 abattoirs (including boning rooms), with a workforce of around 29,800 people. With a wide range of cuts on offer, our red meat is incredibly versatile. We farm a variety of breeds, and our grass and grain fed systems allow us to supply textures, flavour profiles and eating quality characteristics to suit any palette.

Australian red meat for the EU market travels a pre-set pathway – passing through EU registered stockyards, the slaughter floor, chillers, boning room, packaging areas and freezers, through to being loaded out in refrigerated shipping containers for export.

Throughout this process, the integrity of the product is ensured through an array of hygiene, food safety, quality assurance, animal welfare, environmental and workplace health and safety regulations and procedures.
